Black To White Gradient Nails

This nail design was inspired by my co-worker who got her nails done at the salon and had white polish airbrushed on to the tips of her black nails. I loved the design so much that I tried to recreate it using a makeup sponge. I hope you all enjoyed this design and leave me requests in the comments below for other nail inspiration.

DIY Blanket Scarf

Blanket scarfs are very trendy where I live in Canada but I am not satisfied with the price tags of many that I've seen in stores. This sparked the idea that I could simply recreate one myself. This DIY project is not only cost effective but really easy! This blog post is in correspondence to my YouTube video.

Materials:

- 1.5m x 1.5m of Cotton Flannel (I suggest using 2m x 2m if you are taller than me: 5'3)

- Scissors

- Tweezers

I purchased the fabric from Fabric Land for $7. 

Step 1: Using your scissors, recut all the edges of the fabric to ensure you have a really straight cut. This step is crucial because Step 2 will be difficult if the fabric isn't cut straight to start. If your fabric is plaid like mine, I recommend cutting along a line in the design for accuracy. 

Step 2: Lay the fabric out on a flat surface and using your tweezers begin pulling out threads horizontally to create a fringe. Continue this process until your fringe is approximately 1cm in length. This step can be tedious but the results are worth it!

Sedona Lace Review: Vortex Brush Set

Recently I've been on the hunt for an all-in-one, travel makeup brush set that I can take with me for spring break because my everyday brushes are too long for most of my makeup bags. My search was over when I came across the Vortex Brush Set by Sedona Lace. This travel brush set contains all the brushes I need to do my everyday makeup and comes in a cute, compact case. I love the practicality of all the slots inside the case and the external zipper that shields them from contamination. 

This set contains eight brushes: three face brushes (FB 03, 05, 07), four eye brushes (EB 09, 11, 13, 27) and one lip brush (LB 25). 

I really like the density of the Flat Top Buffer (FB 07). This brush allows me to achieve a matte face while applying my powder. 

My favourite brush of the set is the Brow Spoolie Duo (EB 27). This brush is all I need to fill in and shape my eyebrows so the fact that it is two-sided, makes it absolutely perfect for travel! 

Finally, I was thoroughly impressed by the Capped Lip Brush (LB 25). It is super soft on the lips and allows for precise application. Once again, I love the capped lip which conceals the brush head from contamination.

Love Letter Nails For Valentine's Day

PROM 2013

Senior prom is the day every girl in high school dreams about! Its the one day you're allowed to dress up and feel like a beautiful princess! It was a day filled with many memories and good times spent with friends.

My experience dress shopping was positive. I went down town and planned to hit a few boutiques on the strip. Luckily, the first shop I walked into... I tried on 2 dresses and then decided that the second one, was THE ONE! It was love at first sight and my mom approved. I truly felt like a princess in this dress! I just hope bridal dress shopping is this easy haha. My mom did the alterations for me; a hem and slightly taken in at the bust. I absolutely loved my dress! Somedays I think about putting it back on and walking around the house haha

I'm Saving Up For This Camera!

I'm now saving up for this camera! I've been watching a higher quality camera for a longgggg time! I was also looking into getting a high quality video camera! I can't afford to get both right now so I decide that I will purchase this camera first because I can use it as a video camera as well! It is the best of both worlds!

Gotta Love Great Deals!

Today I went on a class trip to the mall and we had a session in the apple store! This was for my business/computer class and it was a great experience and I learned some tips and tricks for my macbook pro! The session was only for an hour so we were allowed to shop and grab lunch for the remainder of the day! I popped into old navy because I saw theses huge signs advertising a sale! I got an amazing deal on a super cute gym bag and I wanted to share it with you guys!

The price tag said $24.94 but online it was advertised for $17.94! I fell in love with the bag so I would have bought it even if it was full price! After the cashier cashed me out, she told me my total was $5.06! I was so excited! I want to go back before the sale is over and get one in another colour for my mom!

Halloween Spider Web Nail Art

Halloween is coming up so this is the first of my nail tutorials for this season! I had fun coming up with this design and I was actually inspired by a box of fake press on nails! Recreating this design does take patience to create the curved lines with a thin black polish but it looks so beautiful and festive on your nails so it is worth the time! I hope you all enjoy!
